Brenton Tarrant, the Australian white supremacist who killed 51 Muslim worshippers in the 2019 Christchurch mosque shootings, has lost his appeal to overturn his conviction. The court found his guilty pleas to multiple charges, including murder and terrorism, were voluntary. Survivors and victims’ families expressed relief that a retrial would not occur.
