New Orleans mourns victims of truck attack with vigil and celebration of life

Courtney Polk, cousin of Tasha Polk who was killed in the New Year’s Day attack, was seen wiping a tear while reading messages left in tribute at a vigil in New Orleans. The vigil took place along the famous Bourbon Street where a man drove a pickup truck into a crowd, resulting in the deaths of 14 victims. The event started as a somber memorial with victims’ relatives mourning, but transitioned into a celebration of life with music and dancing as a brass band played.
