The Federal and State Governments have reached a significant agreement on hospital funding and the NDIS, resulting in an additional $25 billion in Commonwealth funding for health systems. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced the deal, which was finalized after extensive negotiations, increasing the government’s offer from $23 billion. Over the next five years, the Commonwealth will allocate a total of $219.6 billion for hospital funding. Additionally, the annual growth of the NDIS will be capped at 6%, lower than previous targets.
