Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced over $100 million in new funding for flood-affected communities in Western Queensland, with $7 million for fodder and $105 million for new fencing. Working closely with Queensland Premier David Crisafulli, Albanese expressed concern for inaccessible communities and the loss of over 140,000 livestock due to the once-in-a-generation flooding. Despite decreasing rainfall, creeks and rivers are still rising, with the small town of Adavale evacuated to Quilpie and awaiting clearance of damage before returning.
