Canadian snowboarder Mark McMorris, a three-time Olympic bronze medalist, sustained injuries during a big air training session for the Milan Cortina Games and was taken off the course on a stretcher. The incident occurred just before his qualifying round for the Olympics, which starts 24 hours before the opening ceremony. The Canadian Olympic Committee confirmed that he is under medical care. McMorris, 32, has previously overcome severe injuries and expressed good health leading into these Olympics.
