Member of Rothschild family killed in L.A. house fire, neighbors say

Neighbors identified William Rothschild, a member of the prominent Rothschild banking family, as the man found dead after a fire at his Laurel Canyon home. The 87-year-old man, known as “Will,” was described as friendly and devoted to his Afghan hound. The Hollywood Hills residence, worth about $1 million, was damaged by the blaze, with some of Rothschild’s vintage car collection stored there, including a red Porsche previously owned by Michael Jordan.
