Massachusetts landlords face lawsuits over pricing algorithm

The Justice Department, eight states, and tenants have accused RealPage software of violating antitrust laws and inflating rents. A ProPublica investigation revealed that buildings using RealPage’s AIRM software saw significant rent increases in various markets nationwide. The software, previously known as YieldStar, is at the center of allegations of driving up rental costs.
