NASA’s Swift telescope to descend toward Earth after mission cancellation

The mission to rescue NASA’s Swift Observatory has been officially canceled, leaving the telescope on a trajectory for fiery reentry later this year. NASA and Katalyst Space Technologies announced the decision after their Link spacecraft experienced significant control issues shortly after its launch in July.
