Spray cans & sunset hues: L.A. artist honors Luka Doncic, Kobe Bryant in Lakers mural

Arutyun Gozukuchikyan, a mural artist, created a vibrant mural of Luka Doncic and Kobe Bryant sharing a postgame high-five, capturing a moment from the last Lakers game attended by Bryant and his daughter Gianna in December 2019. The mural, located on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles, features a multicolored backdrop inspired by the sunset and incorporates Lakers colors. Gozukuchikyan, a Lakers fan since 1992, was eager to feature Doncic in a mural after the Lakers acquired him in a trade. The mural gained viral attention on social media before its completion, drawing visitors from up to 50 miles away. Despite the constant attention from onlookers, Gozukuchikyan appreciated the love and emotion the mural evoked, particularly in relation to Bryant.
