Lithuania has accused Russia’s GRU military intelligence of orchestrating attempted arson attacks on a plant supplying radio wave scanners to Ukraine’s military, resulting in the arrest of six individuals from various countries. The group, based in Russia, also targeted locations in Poland, Romania, and the Czech Republic. The suspects had ties to Russia and were motivated by financial gain, receiving payments of 5,000 to 10,000 euros. This incident adds to previous accusations of Russian involvement in sabotage and espionage activities in the region, including an attempted arson attack on an IKEA shopping center in Lithuania and charges against a Russian individual in Poland for undermining support for Ukraine.
