Lions to Interview Mike Kafka for Offensive Coordinator Position

The Detroit Lions are set to interview former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel on Tuesday, followed by a meeting with former Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka on Wednesday for their offensive coordinator position. Kafka has quickly advanced in the NFL, starting as an offensive quality control coach with the Chiefs and eventually leading the Giants’ offense, where he developed strong running games. Notably, he nearly upset the Lions in November with a high-scoring game. Kafka joins McDaniel, Jake Peetz, and Tee Martin as candidates for the role.
