LeBron James is ‘on that new juice’ according to Kevin Garnett

Is it possible for Bronny James to score against his father, LeBron? Kevin Garnett doesn’t think so.

During a discussion with his friend Paul Pierce on KG Certified, the Hall of Famer implied that LeBron might be using steroids instead of attributing Bronny’s inability to score against his father to factors like age, size, or experience.

“His dad might be on steroids,” Garnett commented.

While this comment may have been made in passing, it’s not the first time the topic of LeBron and performance-enhancing drugs has been raised. It’s unusual for such claims to surface in this context, though.

KG: Can Bronny get a bucket on Bron?

Paul Pierce: Yeah for sure

KG: You seen his dad? his dad on that Balco, he on that new juice…

Throughout his 21-year NBA career, LeBron James has never failed a drug test. However, recent documents have linked his associates to the Biogenesis scandal.

Biogenesis was a clinic in Miami, Florida, led by a cocaine-addicted Anthony Bosch, supplying athletes with performance-enhancing drugs, mainly baseball players.

Following an ESPN report on the Biogenesis investigation — LeBron was cleared by the DEA — with only Deadspin and the DailyMail reporting on his name in the documents.

While other media outlets have not addressed these claims with James, Garnett’s remarks may spark interest, especially on social media platforms. Any association with PEDs can tarnish one’s reputation.

Peyton Manning faced similar allegations in 2015 when he was implicated in an Al Jazeera report alleging he received Human Growth Hormone (HGH) from an anti-aging clinic in Indianapolis. Manning denied the accusations.

Such comments, like those made by KG, can have significant implications in the sports world. Despite never failing a drug test or being formally charged, James was investigated and cleared by the DEA in 2013 during the Biogenesis scandal.

It remains to be seen if reporters will question James about Garnett’s comments during a press conference or post-game media session.
