At least 13 people, including three children, have died and dozens more have been injured following a massive Russian drone and missile strike on Ukraine, which lasted nine hours and targeted civilian areas across the country, including Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attacks as a “large-scale and vile Russian attack,” emphasizing the need for a strong international response. Despite the assault, Ukrainian air defense reported successfully downing numerous missiles and drones during the assault, which coincided with ongoing prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine.
