Auston Matthews scored his 200th home goal for the Toronto Maple Leafs, becoming the fourth player in team history to achieve this milestone and the first to do so in the Air Canada Centre-Scotiabank Arena era. Since being drafted first overall in 2016, Matthews’ No. 34 jerseys have become a staple in the arena, from the premium seats to the upper levels. He also became the 11th active NHL player to reach 200 home goals, accomplishing this feat in 279 games, outpacing other notable players like Alex Ovechkin in terms of speed.
