A Kremlin official says Russia sees efforts to end Ukraine war as a drawn-out process

Russia views efforts to end its three-year war with Ukraine as a “drawn-out process,” according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s frustration with the two countries’ leaders. Despite ongoing work to implement ideas for a Ukrainian settlement, there is no concrete announcement yet. Trump expressed anger at Russian President Vladimir Putin’s comments on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s legitimacy, while both countries are preparing for a spring-summer campaign on the battlefield.
