Israeli warplanes struck across Lebanon, killing at least 23 people ahead of a planned vote on a U.S.-brokered ceasefire with Hezbollah militants. Evacuation warnings were issued as ground troops reached the Litani River, signaling a last-minute push before the ceasefire. The deal calls for a two-month halt in fighting, with Hezbollah required to withdraw from southern Lebanon and Israeli troops returning to their side of the border, pending effective enforcement by UNIFIL.
