Over 30% of Iraq’s Kurdistan region now has 24-hour electricity, benefiting two million residents, with plans for full coverage by the end of 2026. The initiative, part of “Project Runaki,” aims to reduce reliance on private generators, lower electricity costs, and cut CO2 emissions, while addressing infrastructure challenges and enhancing local gas production.
