Iran threatens to attack ships in the Strait of Hormuz

Ebrahim Jabari, a senior adviser to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), announced that the Strait of Hormuz is “closed” and warned that any vessels attempting to pass through will be attacked. This statement follows recent conflicts that resulted in the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Jabari indicated that Iran would target oil infrastructure, predicting a surge in oil prices to $200 per barrel, as disruptions in the strait could significantly impact global energy supplies.
