A global operation coordinated by Interpol, named Operation Liberterra III, has led to the arrest of over 3,700 suspects and the rescue of approximately 4,400 potential trafficking victims across 119 countries. Conducted between November 10 and 21, the operation also identified nearly 13,000 individuals involved in illegal migration and initiated at least 720 new investigations. Interpol noted a shift in trafficking patterns, with increased cases of South Americans and Asians being exploited in Africa. Law enforcement efforts in West and Central Africa rescued over 200 victims and disrupted several recruitment hubs, highlighting the evolving nature of human trafficking.
