Ai Weiwei to Create New Work in Manchester

Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei announced plans for a “monumental” exhibition in Manchester, marking his first major show in northern England. Known for his role in designing Beijing’s Olympic stadium and his 2010 installation at the Tate Modern, Ai will lead the spring/summer exhibitions at Aviva Studios.
