An Idaho-based company is recalling 3,000 pounds of raw ground beef potentially contaminated with E. coli. The recall involves 16-ounce packages labeled “Forward Farms Grass-Fed Ground Beef” produced on Dec. 16 with a “USE/FREEZE BY” date of Jan. 13 and EST 2083 establishment number. The beef was distributed to several states, and no illnesses have been reported. Customers are advised to either discard the affected products or return them to the store and cook ground beef to 160 degrees Fahrenheit before consumption.
