Edem Wosornu of OCHA and Stephen Omollo of WFP briefed ambassadors on the confirmed famine in the Zamzam displacement camp, affecting 500,000 people. The Famine Review Committee also identified likely famine conditions in other camps near El Fasher, North Darfur. Wosornu and Omollo expressed a sense of failure in addressing the escalating humanitarian crisis in the region.
