How my collection of Funko Pops ended up in Te Papa

Thirteen bug-eyed plastic Funko Pop figurines, mostly bought from The Warehouse, were acquired by the national museum after a donation from a collector who found them overwhelming. The process involved submitting a proposal, multiple meetings, and approval from various committees, including input from mana whenua. The collector visited the museum’s storage facility and donated the Pops, which were then carefully stored with special boxes cut for them by conservators.
