Tiffany Slaton, a hiker who went missing in the Sierra National Forest, survived for 24 days by foraging for wild leeks and drinking melted snow after enduring 13 snowstorms and trekking over 20 miles without shelter. Following a fall that injured her leg and caused her to lose her camping gear, she relied on her skills as a horticulturist and medical technician to stay alive until she discovered an unlocked cabin at Vermilion Valley Resort. Fortunately, the cabin was found just hours before she might have perished, highlighting her remarkable resilience and survival instinct during the ordeal.
