London Underground fare increase next week New costs for Tube travel announced

Londoners will face a Tube fare increase of up to 7.1% starting March 1st, with peak journeys in Zone 1 seeing significant rises. Specifically, fares will rise by 20p in Zone 1, while tickets between London and Heathrow on the Elizabeth line will increase by 11.5%. Despite these hikes, regular passengers will benefit from unchanged Travelcard prices until March 2027, and discounts for certain groups will remain the same. Mayor Sadiq Khan stated that these increases are necessary to secure over £2 billion in government funding for Transport for London.
