US student Kyle Whorrall, 33, was tragically killed in a bus stop attack in Meadowbank on April 19, with a 16-year-old boy charged with his murder as police continue their investigation. A memorial service attended by Whorrall’s mother and local officials was held at a nearby Auckland restaurant, where around 50 people gathered to participate in a silent auction to raise funds for his family. The event highlighted the community’s support following the fatal incident that occurred on St Johns Rd during Easter Weekend.
