Gardaí arrest eight at Shannon Airport protest – The Irish Times

Gardaí arrested eight people during a Palestine support march at Shannon Airport, organized by the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign to protest the airport’s use by the US military for arms transit to Israel. Four men and four women, aged 21 to 56, were taken into custody for public order offences and are set to appear before the District Court at a later date. The arrests were made as part of a policing plan to monitor the event, with the group believing arms are being sent to Israel for conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon.
