Despite heightened security and surveillance, Parappana Agrahara Central Prison continues to discover mobile phones with active SIM cards, leading to the registration of two fresh FIRs. The recent findings of five mobile phones and SIM cards inside the prison have raised suspicions of inmates and staff operating a “mobile service” within the facility. During an inspection by Sharanaiah Hiremath, the prison jailor, an under-trial prisoner was found in possession of these prohibited items.
