An IndiGo flight from Guwahati to Chennai, carrying 168 passengers, made an emergency landing at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport after the pilot issued a ‘Mayday’ call due to insufficient fuel. While the airline cited traffic congestion at Chennai as the reason for the diversion, this was disputed by Chennai ATC; the flight eventually continued to Chennai after refueling.
