A Chicago man, Michael Korosa, 52, was released on bail while awaiting trial for felony involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of 9-year-old Elijah Flores, who died during a robbery attempt on August 10. Korosa allegedly struck Flores’ caregiver, Jonah Soria, with a cane, causing both to fall down a flight of stairs, leading to Flores’ fatal injuries.
