Leroy Tawanda Tsuro, now Leroy Lucas, is fighting extradition to Australia for a 2016 robbery in which he allegedly participated in a violent attack using meat cleavers. He fled to Auckland one day after being questioned by police in Perth and has been in New Zealand for nine years. Tsuro argues that the extradition process is now delayed to the point of being “oppressive,” despite Australian authorities being one step closer to catching up with him.
