ANKARA (Reuters)

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan informed Russian President Vladimir Putin that Turkey is striving for a fair and lasting resolution to the Ukraine war, emphasizing the role of talks in Istanbul in peace efforts. During their meeting at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in China, they also addressed bilateral relations, peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Israel’s actions in Gaza, and issues in Syria.
