Embracing the Year of the Snake for Lunar New Year

This year’s BNZ Auckland Lantern Festival, organized by Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, is a free-ticketed event for the first time, featuring over 40,000 free tickets, delicious food from various cultures, a large fireworks display, more than 500 handmade lanterns, grandstand performances, amusement rides, and cultural activities. The festival will be held at Manukau Sports Bowl from February 13-16, with free transport options available for ticket holders. In addition, other Lunar New Year events are taking place at Botany Town Centre and Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple, showcasing Auckland’s cultural diversity and traditions.
