Duke of Sussex settles lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch’s Sun tabloid

Rupert Murdoch’s UK tabloids have settled Prince Harry’s privacy invasion lawsuit by offering a substantial sum and a full apology for years of unlawful intrusion, as announced in London’s High Court. Harry and one other man were the last remaining claimants out of over 1300 others who settled lawsuits against News Group Newspapers over phone hacking and unlawful intrusion, with Harry’s case being the closest to trial out of all cases against the publisher since the News of the World scandal. The Duke of Sussex emphasized the importance of accountability in settling the case, stating he was the last person who could achieve it.
