ESPN and other Disney-owned channels will be reinstated on YouTube TV following a new agreement reached after two weeks of negotiations, involving company CEOs Bob Iger and Sundar Pichai. The deal includes the full carriage of Disney’s linear portfolio, access to ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer service at no extra cost, and the option to bundle Disney+ and Hulu within YouTube offerings. YouTube expressed gratitude for subscriber patience during the negotiations, stating that affected channels will return throughout the day. Disney’s executives emphasized the agreement’s focus on delivering value and flexibility to viewers, aligning with evolving viewing preferences.
