The Department of Homeland Security has increased the “exit bonus” for undocumented migrants who voluntarily self-deport from $1,000 to $3,000, offering free airfare and waiving civil fines for those who leave by Dec. 31, 2025, using the CBP Home app. Participants can avoid ICE arrest and detention by demonstrating progress in leaving the U.S. The program aims to accelerate removals and reduce taxpayer costs, with around 1.9 million immigrants reportedly self-deporting since January 2025.
