Defence seeks shorter sentence for trucker who killed 4 people in crash

Truck driver Jagmeet Grewal was found guilty of four counts of criminal negligence causing death and four counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm in a crash that killed four people and injured four others in Laval. His lawyer argued that Grewal’s Charter rights were violated during the police investigation and that he should receive a reduced sentence as a result. Quebec Court Judge Yanick Laramée will determine the final sentence for Grewal.
