Ian Dallison, a Christchurch eye surgeon recently released on parole, has requested the Parole Board to allow him to move back to Canterbury, citing the distance from his support network as a barrier to his reintegration. Dallison, 66, was sentenced to six years and 10 months in April 2023 for attempting to murder his landlord, Alberto Ceccarelli, and wounding Ceccarelli’s wife.
