Ghana Arrests Nigerians for Alleged Cyber Crime Operations

Ghana’s security forces arrested nine Nigerians accused of orchestrating cyber-crime activities in Accra, while also detaining 44 individuals believed to be victims of trafficking. A two-day operation led to the seizure of 62 laptops, 52 mobile phones, and firearms. The arrested were reportedly coerced into participating in scams, including romance and business email fraud. Communications Minister Sam George emphasized the need for caution among foreign nationals lured to Ghana under false pretenses.
