Putin sets out conditions for Ukraine ceasefire

Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to the idea of a ceasefire in Ukraine but has set tough conditions for its implementation, including questions about the nature of the truce and control mechanisms. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized Putin’s response as manipulative and called for more sanctions on Russia, while the US imposed further sanctions on Russian oil, gas, and banking sectors.
