Cornes, Dillon apologise to umpires over Schultz saga

The AFL’s handling of Lachie Schultz’s concussion incident has led to apologies from CEO Andrew Dillon and commentator Kane Cornes to the four umpires involved. Dillon spoke with the umpires after the AFL admitted to a failure in the process regarding Schultz’s on-field management following a collision. Cornes, who initially accused the umpires of misleading the AFL about the incident, retracted his statements and apologized unreservedly, acknowledging that the umpires had indeed seen the incident and did not mislead the league.
