Zelensky suggests war could end if unoccupied Ukraine comes under Nato

Ukrainian President Zelensky suggests ending the war by having Nato offer membership to the whole of Ukraine, including territories currently under Russian control, in order to prevent further attacks and secure peace. While the proposal is theoretical and no formal offers have been made, Zelensky believes only Nato membership can provide the necessary guarantee for ceasefire. Despite ongoing discussions in Western circles about a potential West German model for Nato membership, Putin has shown no indication of abandoning his desire to dominate Ukraine, making any Nato involvement currently unlikely.
