Tom Walker discusses songwriting as a form of therapy

Singer-songwriter Tom Walker has opened up about his mental health struggles, revealing that songwriting serves as his therapy. His 2017 hit “Leave A Light On” addresses a friend’s drug addiction, while his 2024 track “Lifeline” was inspired by the unexpected death of a close friend. Walker, 33, emphasized that he writes about both joyous and challenging experiences in his life. He is currently an ambassador for the suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
