Kenya’s interior minister Kipchumba Murkomen defended the police’s actions during protests that resulted in at least 10 deaths, labeling the demonstrations as “terrorism disguised as dissent.” While thousands protested against President William Ruto’s government, demanding an end to police brutality, rights groups criticized police for excessive force, leading to significant injuries and damage to property.

Explain It To Me Like I’m 5: Kenya’s interior minister said that during big protests where many people were hurt and some sadly died, the police did not use too much force, and he called the protests a dangerous act against the government.
