Charles Milliard, former CEO of Quebec’s federation of chambers of commerce, is running for the leadership of the Quebec Liberals, aiming to restore the party’s standing in provincial politics. He announced his candidacy via social media, emphasizing a stronger economy and transparent government. Milliard previously finished second in the last leadership contest, following Pablo Rodriguez’s resignation amid internal discord. The leadership race will officially begin on January 12, with a new leader to be chosen on March 14, ahead of the next election on October 5.
