Indian National Amrat Pal Singh Dhounsi to be Deported After Conviction

An Indian national, Amrat Pal Singh Dhounsi, 34, faces deportation from New Zealand after being convicted of indecent assault, despite having lived in the country his entire adult life and having a New Zealand-born son. He has been granted a three-month work visa to arrange his affairs and prepare his son for his departure, although the Immigration and Protection Tribunal noted “exceptional humanitarian circumstances” for his potential stay.
