An Italian fashion influencer, Chiara Ferragni, has been acquitted of aggravated fraud related to a charity Christmas cake scandal.
She faced accusations of misleading consumers by promoting a designer pink pandoro and Easter eggs claimed to support a children’s hospital and charity.
Following a fast-track trial in Milan, a judge found her and two co-defendants not guilty, sparing Ferragni from a potential jail sentence.
Ferragni expressed relief, stating the verdict marked “the end of a nightmare that lasted two years.”
