West Indies defeat Zimbabwe by 107 runs in T20 World Cup Super 8 opener

Shimron Hetmyer led the West Indies to a decisive victory over Zimbabwe in the World Cup, scoring a record half-century off just 19 balls, the fastest by a West Indian in World Cup history. Zimbabwe struggled in their chase, hampered by missed opportunities to dismiss Hetmyer, while West Indies bowlers Motie and Hosein claimed seven wickets. This win reinforces West Indies’ strong performance in the tournament, raising questions about whether they are peaking too early.
