Israeli strike near Palestinian refugee camp kills 13 in Lebanon

At least 13 people were killed in an Israeli strike near the Ein el-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon, targeting Hamas operatives. The Israeli military claimed the site was used by Hamas to plan attacks against Israel, a claim Hamas denied, calling it false. The strike also injured at least four individuals amidst ongoing tensions following Hamas’s attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, which led to significant casualties on both sides. Since then, Israel has conducted regular airstrikes in Lebanon, primarily targeting Hezbollah.
