CCTV footage captured Kayne Palmer, 33, using a shopping basket to steal nearly £8,000 worth of cigarettes and alcohol during a ram-raid at a Nottingham off-licence on October 21, 2023. After breaking into a nearby home to steal keys to a stolen van, he crashed into the shop, woke the owners, and attempted to fill a bag with items, only to realize it had a hole. Palmer was later arrested after a spree of burglaries, and he received a seven-year prison sentence for multiple charges, including burglary and dangerous driving.
